YOGA Kurse

Unsere Yoga Kurse sind accessible to everyone, beginners and experienced students alike, regardless of your flexibility or level of fitness. We teach yoga with awareness. We do not encourage pushing, muscling and fighting to get into poses. Rather, we encourage you to explore your own edge mindfully as you grow your practice, strengthen your body, expand your heart and free your mind.

  • Basic Level classes serve those who are brand new to yoga, as well as those who prefer to grow their practice from a strong foundation of postural alignment, skillful breathing, and understanding of how to modify poses to fit individual needs. This class will teach you to tap into inner strength, deepen your breath, and become more aware of the relationship between your mind and body. Special attention is paid to learning alignment principals so you can progress safely in your practice. Strength and flexibility are not required, and will be gained through regular attendance. All ages, shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome in this class.

  • Open level classes serve students who have a regular practice or are looking to evolve their practice to the next level. These classes will vary in their range of difficulty and will offer variations for students at different levels. Beginners are welcome to these classes knowing that there will be less time spent on the foundations and basics of yoga. Come one, come all and practice at your own level and pace.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA

This class moves fluidly through salutations, traditional standing and seated poses with special attention to proper alignment drawn from the Iyengar tradition and moving transitions and vinyasas from the Ashtanga tradition. Vinyasa yoga fosters the mind-body-spirit in an invigorating series with emphasis on strength, balance, stability, flexibility, and meditation.

POWER VINYASA YOGA

Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. This type of yoga is taught in a heated studio which makes it a vigorous and revitalizing form of physical fitness. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and physical and mental stamina in one session. Think of it as a moving meditation. This style of class has been described as “the perfect blend of sweat and serenity.”

ALIGNMENT/BASED FLOW

These sessions are dedicated to a slower vision of steeping the body in space, time, form and aligned gestures of integrative strength. From the cultivation of an amazing foundation, a practice, a body, and self-awareness can step into a lifelong connection. Perfect for anyone seeking a practice dedicated to spending longer amounts of time in postures, marinating in the richness of time developing strength and flexibility. From magnificent foundations, find expressive freedom!

ASHTANGA YOGA / LED CLASS

This method of classical yoga practice created by Sri K Patthabi Jois involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive sequence of postures (Vinyasa or Flow) - a process producing internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.  Starting with Sun Salulations, the sequence then moves into standing poses, which constitute the warm-up part of the practice. The Primary Series consists of seated forward bending poses with a few backbends at the end. The sequence then moves to the cool down poses, consisting of inversions, cross-legged sitting poses and pranayama. Postures are held for 5 breaths and there is no rest in-between the poses.

Many more poses are practiced in both Ashtanga and Vinyasa, then in Hatha style classes.  This is a more vigorous practice than other traditional approaches. There is also a 2nd and 3rd series in Ashtanga for more advanced students.
