Heart&House for Akhas/Charity Yoga Workshop with Mei

In the night from 23rd to the 24th of April a violent hailstorm has turned a small traditonal Akha village in southwesten China into a ruin. Luckily nobody was injured and people are in a simple transitional but safe camp. Without insurance und with limited support people try to rebuild their houses and life, which turns out to be a big chanllenge.
A local NGO(Huotang Culture Society) has been engaging in different activities and projects to preserve the traditon and culture of Akha tribe since years. This time the organisation functioned again as the first aid and has started a crowdfunding action to raise donation for Akha people. So far more than 3000 Euros has been given by caring donors to buy groceries, camping gears, generators and etc. for people who suffer a lot from this terrible catastrophe.
I am a honorable member of the executive board of this NGO and would like to raise some money for this authentic hill tribe.
For this purpose i offer all yoginis and yogis a charity workshop so that anybody who wants to help can contribute. All donation will be passed to the Huotang Culture Society. In a few weeks I will give a talk introducing more about this tribe and its culture. A report about the reconstruction work in the village will be given as well. Awareness for healthy and safe Yoga practice
„Safe Practice“ is our mantra for this workshop. Therefor this workshop is not only suitable for the beginners but also for the advanced practioners. In order to gain a safe approach for the yoga practice it is not only helpful but also absolutely necessary to have a thorough study of the yoga asanas. Thus „Back to Root“ will be the guidance and main theme on Sunday. We will look at the alignment of different asanas especially the transitional alignment from one to the other asana when doing a flowy sequence like the different warrior flow sequences. We will get to know the individual physical alignment of oneself and learn to create the awareness for a safe yoga practice through independent self-adjustment.
